“Bref.” makes a comeback with a season 2 on Disney+.

13 years after its success on Canal+, the cult series Bref. returns with a new season. A comeback awaited by fans and broadcast on Disney+ from February 14, 2025.

It was an announcement that caused quite a stir: Bref, the short series that marked an entire generation, is back with a new season. Created by Kyan Khojandi and Bruno Muschio (aka Navo), the series won over viewers with its fast-paced format, hard-hitting humor and acerbic look at the life of a thirty-something in Paris. This return promises an evolution of the main character. Now in his forties, he will be more deeply immersed in his thoughts and relationships.

A longer format for greater depth

When it was broadcast on Canal+ between 2011 and 2012, Bref. was built up in episodes of less than three minutes, an originality that contributed to its success. For this new season, the format is changing: the six new episodes will last around 30 minutes each. The aim? To explore the protagonist’s emotions and problems in greater detail. Still a bachelor, he now questions friendship, parenthood and the passage of time.

A faithful cast, enriched by new faces

Good news for nostalgic fans: a large part of the original cast is back. They include Bérengère Krief, Baptiste Lecaplain, Alice David and, of course, Kyan Khojandi. Season 2 will also feature a number of new faces, including Laura Felpin, Jean-Paul Rouve, Doria Tillier and Bertrand Usclat. Some surprise guests are also expected.

An enigmatic communications campaign

The announcement of season 2 was skilfully orchestrated. Even before the official reveal, mysterious posters appeared in the Paris metro with the simple word “re”. This clever teasing aroused the curiosity of fans, before Disney+ officially confirmed the series’ return.

With this new season, Bref. intends to win back its audience and prove that its humor and accuracy remain timeless. See you on February 14, 2025 on Disney+!
