In the trailer for the F1 movie unveiled during the Super Bowl, Brad Pitt surprised audiences by revealing some of his many tattoos. A rare glimpse into the body of the actor, who plays a seasoned racing driver in this eagerly-awaited feature film.
A sensational appearance
On February 10, Apple TV+ released new images from the film F1, starring Brad Pitt. In one striking sequence, the 61-year-old actor appears reclining on a sofa, wearing a half-open racing suit, revealing his bare torso. One detail in particular caught the attention of fans: his impressive collection of 67 tattoos, some of which were previously unknown to the general public.
Tattoos with meaning
The Hollywood actor sports a series of varied, symbolic motifs. These include :
- A tornado on its flank,
- A motorcycle on his left bicep,
- Two skulls,
- An Ötzi mummy,
- Alpha and Omega symbols,
- The word “Invictus”,
- The phrase “Life is absurd”.
Some of his tattoos also pay tribute to his ex-wife Angelina Jolie and their children. Brad Pitt is said to have engraved on his right forearm a cross surrounded by the initials of their six children. He also bears Angelina Jolie’s nickname and date of birth in Khmer on his lower stomach. Even more surprising, scribbles made by the actress herself are said to cover his back, souvenirs of a night when she drew them before he decided to immortalize them in ink.
A transition after her divorce
Although Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie officially settled their divorce in December 2023, the actor seems to have chosen to keep these memories engraved on his skin. A testimony to his past, which he has no wish to erase despite the evolution of his personal life.
