For the first time, a luxury brand joins forces with the École du Louvre. Louis Vuitton becomes a patron of the institution . The brand affirms its commitment to the transmission of knowledge and the preservation of artistic heritage.

Major support for French excellence

The École du Louvre, located in the Flore wing of the Palais du Louvre, is a benchmark in art history, archaeology and museology. Thanks to the support of Louis Vuitton and its CEO Pietro Beccari, eight scholarships will be awarded over three years.

Six of these grants will finance various academic projects. Two will be reserved for doctoral students working on Louis Vuitton history and know-how. Topics include the art of travel and expeditions, and the decorative arts. But also the heritage of the trunk-maker’s craft, the cornerstone of the company.

A close relationship with the Louvre

This partnership is part of an already strong relationship between Louis Vuitton and the Louvre. Nicolas Ghesquière, artistic director of the women’s collections, regularly holds his shows there, and Pharrell Williams, head of the men’s collections, has chosen the museum as the setting for his next show for Men’s Fashion Week 2025-2026.

At the same time, the Louvre is strengthening its ties with fashion. Since January 24, the museum has been hosting the “Louvre Couture” exhibition , featuring Karl Lagerfeld and Madame Carven. A groundbreaking initiative that makes haute couture part of our cultural heritage.
