The most popular luxury brands on Vinted in France

Second-hand platform Vinted reveals the brands and luxury goods most liked by French users between December 2023 and December 2024.

Gucci, Dior and Louis Vuitton top preferences

With 25 million users in France, Vinted is a veritable barometer of the French second-hand market. According to data recently published by the platform, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Dior are the three luxury brands most liked by French consumers.

This podium differs from the overall Lyst Index ranking, which highlights Miu Miu, Saint Laurent and Prada for the last quarter of 2024. On the other hand, on Vinted, French users seem to prefer brands that are more timeless and reassuring in terms of investment, with a strong attachment to historic labels.

Pigalle pumps and Neverfull tote bag in the spotlight

The most popular items on Vinted confirm this trend. Christian Louboutin’s Pigalle pumps are the luxury shoes with the most “likes”. These iconic shoes, from the 2004-2005 autumn-winter collection, continue to seduce fashion lovers. Louis Vuitton’s Neverfull bag remains the top-selling luxury item for two years running. Its Monogram motif and spacious size make it a popular piece on the resale market.

A booming second-hand market

The craze for luxury brands on Vinted is part of a wider dynamic: the meteoric growth of the resale market. In 2023, the Lithuanian platform posted growth of +61%, with sales approaching 600 million euros.

According to a study by GlobalData, the global clothing resale market grew by +17.6% in 2024, exceeding $204 billion in revenues. This dynamic contrasts with almost zero growth in the traditional clothing market (+0.1%).
