Brach Madrid: Philippe Starck’s jewel in Madrid’s hotel crown

Opening in January 2025, the Hotel Brach Madrid marks a new stage in the expansion of the Paris-based Evok Group. Under the artistic direction of Philippe Starck, this unique venue reinvents luxury hotels in the Spanish capital.

Brach Madrid, a strong artistic dimension

Located on Gran Vía, Madrid’s emblematic thoroughfare often compared to the Champs-Élysées, the Brach Madrid occupies a former administrative building dating from the 1920s. The listed marble entrance and staircase retain the soul of the place. While the interior has been completely redesigned to meet the demands of modern luxury.

Philippe Starck, master of design and storytelling, imagined every detail based on a fictional story. He tells the story of a man who has lost his beloved. This literary framework permeates every corner of the hotel. Particularly in suite 506, which perfectly illustrates this poetic setting.

Suite 506: artistic and sensory immersion

With 70 m² of floor space and a large balcony offering a breathtaking view of Madrid, room 506 is a showcase of luxury and surprises. It features the ” bento shelf “, an intriguing installation of small artistic objects. These include a mysterious figurine, a castanet and an eyecup concealing an optical illusion.

In this suite, comfort is king. The king-size bed, a signature feature of Brach hotels, is accompanied by a ” bedding menu “. This allows guests to purchase their favorite pillows and comforters. Another surprising innovation: the minibar offers complimentary spirits. But non-alcoholic beverages must be paid for – an original approach to hotel service.

A commitment to ecology and technology

The hotel adopts an eco-responsible approach. It is doing away with plastic bottles in favor of reusable water bottles, and limiting the presence of coffee machines in rooms. Coffee lovers can order their beverage from room service, which even offers collagen-enriched pods.

Each room is equipped with an integrated audio system that offers several themed playlists, from Andalusian flamenco to house music, to suit travelers’ moods. A screen concealed in the walls provides access to these features without disturbing the minimalist aesthetic of the decor.

La Capsule: a futuristic spa

For a unique wellness experience, the La Capsule spa transports visitors into an immaculate universe worthy of a Twin Peaks set. The scenography, with filament chandeliers floating a few centimetres off the ground, creates a soothing, mysterious atmosphere.

Facilities include a swimming pool, infrared sauna, hyperbaric chamber, ice water basin and hammam. Facial treatments are performed with myBlend by Clarins products, combining advanced cosmetics and LED technology for optimal skin regeneration.

A luxury wellness hotel

In suite 506, every detail has been thought out with the guest’s well-being in mind. A yoga mat is available for a morning session, accompanied by dumbbells hidden in the bento rack. The capsule breakfast offers a balanced menu: ginger shot, avocado toast with goji berries, white omelette with spinach and apple muesli.

Finally, the hotel offers a myBlend LED mask, which stimulates skin cell renewal in just a few minutes, a luxury available on request.

A Philippe Starck voyage

Every stay at Brach Madrid is an immersion in a poetic and surprising universe. From the frames hanging from the corners of the ceiling to the photos concealed in the mirrors, every element calls out and invites interpretation.

With its ground-floor Mediterranean restaurant, multilingual staff and ideal location, this hotel embodies the elegance and originality of contemporary luxury.
