Third instalment of “À couteaux tirés” unveils its cast
Following the success of “À couteaux tirés” (2019) and “Glass Onion” (2022), director Rian Johnson is preparing the third installment of his saga with Daniel Craig, entitled “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery”. Available on Netflix in 2025, the film promises to be a gripping thriller with a five-star cast.
A long-awaited return for Benoit Blanc
Five years after the success of the first “À couteaux tirés“, Rian Johnson continues the adventure with a third opus, “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery”. This new investigation by the famous detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, promises a breathtaking plot in a still mysterious universe.
While the plot remains confidential, we do know that this new chapter will follow the detective after his investigation in Greece in Glass Onion (2022). The question on fans’ lips: where and in what milieu will Benoit Blanc evolve this time?
An exceptional cast
True to the saga’s tradition, Rian Johnson has once again surrounded himself with a prestigious cast. Alongside Daniel Craig, a number of cinema greats join the adventure: Josh O’Connor, recently acclaimed for Challengers (2024), Cailee Spaeny, seen in the biopic Priscilla (2023), Andrew Scott, moving in the series Ripley (2024), Glenn Close, a true cinema icon, Kerry Washington, known for her role in Scandal, Mila Kunis, a popular actress with an impressive track record.
This impressive cast promises a fast-paced, captivating thriller in the tradition of previous installments.
Scheduled for release in 2025 on Netflix
Currently in preparation, filming on “Wake Up Dead Man” will begin this year, with a planned release on Netflix in autumn 2025. After winning over audiences with his previous opuses, Rian Johnson is set to deliver another thrilling investigation, supported by an exceptional cast and a plot with multiple twists and turns.
