Kim Jones awarded the Légion d’Honneur
On the fourth day of Men’s Fashion Week in Paris, Dior artistic director Kim Jones was made a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, in recognition of his work and impact on French fashion.
At Dior’s Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 show on January 24, 2025, Kim Jones presented a collection inspired by the famous “H collection” of 1954, celebrating minimalist, elongated lines. Following this landmark moment, he was awarded the Légion d’Honneur at a ceremony in Paris, a distinction that honors personalities who have made an exceptional contribution to France.
An award for a remarkable career
Kim Jones, who has been working in France for fifteen years, spoke with emotion: “It’s a great honor […] I wish my parents could have been here to see this.” This distinction crowns his career at Dior, where he has been in post for seven years, but also his years at Louis Vuitton (2011-2018), where he left his mark on men’s fashion.
In addition to his work at Dior, the British designer was also artistic director at Fendi, another house in the LVMH group, until October 2024. He had already received international recognition when he was appointed an Officer of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in 2020.
French luxury recognizes Kim Jones
The LVMH group continues to shine, with key figures such as Bernard Arnault, Chairman of the group, also distinguished by the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor in 2024, and Delphine Arnault, CEO of Dior, named Chevalier in 2025. These distinctions reflect the growing importance of French luxury brands on the international stage.
