Oscars 2025: the full list of nominees

The 97th Academy Awards ceremony, scheduled for March 5, 2025 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, unveils some spectacular nominations, featuring films and talent from the year’s biggest cinematic successes.

Fierce competition

Among the favorites, Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez made history with 13 nominations, a record for a French film. This critically acclaimed melodrama is a serious contender. Sean Baker’s Anora, winner of the Palme d’Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, is also in the running, with six nominations. As for Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist, starring Adrien Brody, it is building on the success of the Golden Globes to claim several awards.

Audiences will also be able to discover such captivating works as The Substance, the historical drama Un Parfait Inconnu, and Conclave, already acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.

An emblematic event

Hosted by comedian Conan O’Brien, the evening will celebrate cinematic excellence despite recent challenges, such as the fires in Southern California that have left their mark on the industry. The Oscars remain an essential global stage for showcasing innovative work and exceptional talent.
