Acqua di Parma reinterprets its successful line

Acqua di Parma, the famous Italian perfume house, revisits its first olfactory success, “Colonia”, with a modern, refined version called Colonia II Profumo.

An evolution respectful of heritage

Created in 1916 by Baron Carlo Magnani, the Colonia fragrance symbolizes timeless elegance. In 2025, Acqua di Parma, now under the aegis of LVMH, unveils Colonia II Profumo, a contemporary interpretation that retains the codes of the original while introducing new olfactory nuances.

The composition remains true to its Italian roots, with citrus notes of bergamot, grapefruit and blood orange. What’s new is the addition of ylang-ylang, enhanced by vetiver oil and patchouli, for a denser, longer-lasting fragrance.

Premium design and positioning

The bottle retains the House’s emblematic Art Deco aesthetic, reinforcing its link with history. This new edition is also accompanied by a fragrance line and a lifestyle collection featuring exclusive accessories.

A booming sector

The launch of Colonia II Profumo comes at a strategic moment. According to a McKinsey & Company study, the luxury beauty market could reach $40 billion by 2027. With this development, Acqua di Parma joins the growing trend towards Haute Parfumerie, a segment increasingly favored by demanding consumers.
