La Ferme du Pré Catelan: Frédéric Anton’s new bistro

Three-starred chef Frédéric Anton breathes new life into a place steeped in history, transforming the Ferme du Pré Catelan into a must-visit address in Parisian gastronomy.

A renaissance in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne

Last September, Frédéric Anton reopened the Ferme du Pré Catelan, a former farmhouse nestled in the Bois de Boulogne. This long-forgotten spot has been reborn as a welcoming bistro, combining tradition and generosity. Decorated by Jean-Yves Rochon, the space blends old-world charm with contemporary elegance, evoking an atmosphere worthy of the great French houses.

A cuisine rooted in tradition

Ferme du Pré Catelan stands out for its sincere, generous cuisine, faithful to classic recipes. Among the must-try dishes, Crème Dubarry, served in a Christofle silver tureen, is a tribute to culinary traditions. The dish of the day, such as blanquette de veau or pavé de bœuf with home fries, illustrates the chef’s savoir-faire. The homemade purée, sublimated by a meat juice and cheese, is also a must.

Every detail, from seasoning to choice of ingredients, reflects Frédéric Anton’s attention to the customer experience, making this more than just a chic bistro.

A tribute to excellence

Le Pré Catelan’s signature sauces are carefully reproduced, establishing a continuity between the Michelin-starred restaurant and this affordable bistro. With reasonable prices (15 euros for the Crème Dubarry, 39 euros for the pavé de bœuf), Ferme du Pré Catelan offers an exceptional gastronomic experience without breaking the bank.
