Pharrell Williams opens the Paris Fashion Week ball
Men’s Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2025-2026 opens with great fanfare in Paris. The Pharrell Williams show for Louis Vuitton opens on the square courtyard of the Louvre. The evening event promises a unique blend of fashion, celebrities and art.
Pharrell Williams and Vuitton: the spectacular combo
After making his mark with shows at the Pont Neuf and Unesco, Pharrell Williams, head designer of Louis Vuitton’s men’s collections, is offering a new experience. This is his fifth collection for the luxury house, and the choice of the Louvre underscores the artistic ambition of this event. Expected guests include global stars such as LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama and J-Hope of the BTS group, who shared his exclusive invitation on social networks.
This show could also be tinged with political messages, like Pharrell’s previous shows, which combine multiculturalism and social stances.
A week of novelty
In addition to Vuitton, Fashion Week will see the likes of Auralee, which continues its rise to prominence with minimalist, functional designs, and Coucou Bebe 75018, a French brand known for its provocative creations. It will also be a week marked by comebacks, notably that of Jacquemus, which re-enters the official calendar after five years with an innovative approach: a catwalk show filmed entirely on the iPhone.
Notable absences
Despite this effervescence, the Parisian week saw some notable absentees, such as Givenchy and Valentino, who reserved their presentations for other occasions. Loewe, meanwhile, is going through a period of uncertainty with the possible departure of its artistic director, Jonathan Anderson.
Paris, capital of fashion and trends
With 37 shows and 30 presentations in six days, Paris Fashion Week maintains its status as a must-see event. In addition to major houses such as Dior Homme and Hermès, emerging talents such as Willy Chavarria and Emeric Tchatchoua will be making their debuts. A unique opportunity for Paris to reassert its central role in the global fashion industry.
