What can we expect from Lady Gaga’s new album?
After the cinematic universe of Harley Quinn, Lady Gaga is set to mark 2025 with LG7, an electro-sounding album in collaboration with French producer Gesaffelstein.
Lady Gaga, who in 2024 released the album Harlequin inspired by her role in Joker: Folie à deux, returns to her first musical love with LG7, scheduled for release in February 2025. The album, billed as a return to electro-pop and dark influences, promises a rich and varied musical experience.
A promising first single: Disease
To herald this opus, Lady Gaga unveiled the track Disease in October 2024. This dark, industrial track blends elements of electro-pop and synthpop, recalling The Fame Monster (2009) and Born This Way (2011). The lyrics, tinged with medical metaphors, seem to evoke her fiancé Michael Polansky. With its dark visuals and meticulous production, Disease has won over die-hard fans, who are delighted to find a bold Lady Gaga once again.
A collaboration with Gesaffelstein
One of the surprises on this album is the participation of Gesaffelstein. The French producer, known for his collaborations with The Weeknd(Lost in the Fire, I Was Never There), brings his unique, dark touch to the project. Lady Gaga told the Los Angeles Times that she has worked with several producers to explore different musical genres.
An eclectic, introspective album
Although the final title of the album remains a secret, Lady Gaga describes the project as a work navigating between chaos and love. “The album jumps from one genre to another in an almost corrupted way. It ends with love,” she declared. This quest for peace and musical diversity marks a new stage in the artist’s career.
