Timothée Chalamet: red carpet on bicycle
Timothée Chalamet rode his bike to the London red carpet for the premiere of the Bob Dylan biopic A Perfect Stranger.
A red carpet on two wheels
On Tuesday January 14, the actor captivated attention at London’s BFI Southbank. True to his style, he chose an atypical means of transport for the event: a “Lime” electric bike. Chalamet pedaled up to the red carpet and posed for the photocall, seated on his two-wheeler. A singular entrance that quickly made the rounds on social networks, adding a relaxed, personal touch to this prestigious evening.
While some expected the actor to be accompanied by Kylie Jenner, he decided to make a splash on his own, reinforcing his image as a unique and unexpected artist.
Intense preparation for a legendary role
In A Perfect Stranger, Timothée Chalamet plays the role of music legend Bob Dylan. More than a role, this biopic represented a real challenge: the actor had to learn to sing and play guitar to perform the singer’s iconic songs himself. Chalamet told Rolling Stone magazine that he spent five years preparing for the project, followed by three months totally immersed in the character: “I embodied Bob Dylan like an obsession.”
To make the interpretation authentic, he took singing and guitar lessons, avoiding any recourse to playback. His deep immersion enabled him to recreate the essence of Dylan, declaring, “If I sang to a pre-recorded track, the lack of movement was felt in my voice.”
Paris in your sights
Today, the biopic will premiere at the Grand Rex in Paris, ahead of its official release on January 29. An opportunity for fans to discover Timothée Chalamet in one of his most ambitious roles to date.
