To accompany the event, an American food court offers a variety of delicacies: burgers, hot dogs, ribs and other delights, all in a convivial atmosphere.
An extraordinary race
Considered one of the most demanding races in the world, the Prix d’Amérique Legend Race takes place on the 2,700-meter track at the Hippodrome de Vincennes. This unique layout, nicknamed the “toboggan” by the professionals, demands precise management of the horses’ efforts and perfect control on the part of the drivers.
The flying start adds an extra challenge. The first 350 meters, uphill, are often decisive in setting the pace of the race. Horses then face a 650-meter descent before climbing a progressive 700-meter ascent, the true judge of the competition. The final 300-meter sprint showcases the top speed of trotters, which can reach 60 km/h.
An experience not to be missed
With admission starting at €10, the event is accessible to all. The festivities begin the day before, on Saturday January 25, with entertainment and a live concert by Elektric Monday at 5pm.
A tradition of excellence
The Prix d’Amérique is much more than just a horse race: it’s a celebration of performance, history and equestrian heritage. The event, which attracts the world’s top trotters and drivers, is a must-see for sports enthusiasts and the curious in search of an unforgettable experience.
