Jaeger-LeCoultre, luxury watchmaking meets perfumery
Jaeger-LeCoultre innovates once again with a foray into the world of haute parfumerie. As part of its “Made of Makers” program, the Swiss watch brand unveils three unique fragrances . This program is the fruit of a collaboration with perfumer Nicolas Bonneville.
A unique artistic approach
With “Made of Makers”, Jaeger-LeCoultre reinvents the classical arts by bringing together talents from a variety of disciplines. After collaborations with artists such as digital flower sculptor Brendi Wedinger and French pastry chef Nina Métayer, the company is now exploring the field of perfumery. This project is part of a dialogue between tradition and modernity, combining creativity, craftsmanship and innovation.
For this challenge, Jaeger-LeCoultre turned to Nicolas Bonneville, awarded in 2024 for his creations at Givenchy. Renowned for his work combining traditional techniques and innovation, he has translated the essence of the watchmaking house into three exceptional fragrances.
A unique olfactory experience
The three creations, entitled The Timeless Stories, The Precision Pioneer, and The Celestial Odyssey, are not for sale. They celebrate emblematic elements of Jaeger-LeCoultre. The Reverso watch for the former, and horological complications such as the perpetual calendar and moon phase for the latter.
Each fragrance reflects a specific dimension of watchmaking. They combine rare essences and familiar materials to evoke olfactory memory. Bonneville describes this collaboration as a quest for pure emotion, freed from the usual commercial constraints. “Olfaction is a primitive sense that plays with memory. I adapted my writing to Jaeger-LeCoultre’s quest for balance and innovation,” he explains.
An experience in Paris
Until January 15, these fragrances can be discovered exclusively in the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique on Place Vendôme in Paris. Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in this sensory experience, using an olfactory wheel to identify the families of each fragrance.
These ephemeral creations testify to the Swiss company’s commitment to pushing back the boundaries of craftsmanship and innovation, while offering luxury connoisseurs an unprecedented encounter between watchmaking and perfumery. A subtle marriage of art, technique and emotion, worthy of the Jaeger-LeCoultre heritage.
Until January 15, Place Vendôme.
