Accor ventures into space tourism with Orbite

The Accor Group joins forces with Orbite to offer a unique experience: luxury in weightlessness.

As space tourism gains momentum, hotel giant Accor joins forces with Orbite, a company specializing in commercial spaceflight. Founded in 2019 by Jason Andrews and Nicolas Gaume, Orbite is currently working on the development of the Spaceflight Gateway campus in Florida, designed by Philippe Starck.

Comprehensive training for future space tourists

The aim of this campus is clear: to prepare ultra-premium customers for the sensations of space. Internships include:

  • Flight simulations to reproduce centrifugal forces,
  • Spacesuit experiments,
  • Specialized courses on nutrition adapted to weightlessness.

These training sessions offer a realistic glimpse of life in space, combining cutting-edge technology with top-of-the-range services.

An exclusive program starting in 2025 in Paris

From 2025, Orbite will also be offering exclusive themed stays in Paris. Limited to ten participants, this three-day program includes :

  • Meetings with experts and a visit to the Centre National d’Études Spatiales,
  • Specialized cooking classes with École Ducasse,
  • An immersion at BioFarm Interstellar,
  • An exceptional dinner at the immersive Stellar restaurant.

With an entry fee of $19,500, this experience is a blend of education, training and wellness, offering a taste of luxury in space.

The future: opening in 2027

The Spaceflight Gateway campus is scheduled to welcome its first guests by 2027. Thanks to this partnership, Accor and Orbite are redefining the boundaries of luxury by blending hospitality and space exploration.
