Louis Vuitton: its carousel enchants Place Vendôme
Luxury brand Louis Vuitton is hitting back hard for the festive season with a spectacular initiative: a carousel in the brand’s colors, installed on the prestigious Place Vendôme.
This free operation attracts Parisians and tourists alike, adding an enchanting touch to this emblematic district.
A magical, symbolic installation
Inspired by the festive “Holiday” theme, this unique ride features monogrammed animals: ostrich, giraffe, snail and leopard. Located just a few steps from one of the brand’s boutiques, this installation is part of an immersive communications strategy, promoting the Louis Vuitton universe in the heart of Paris.
This project is not just decorative. It is rooted in the company’s history, recalling the1900 Paris Exposition Universelle, where Georges Vuitton presented a carousel draped in velvet and gold, featuring the brand’s famous trunks. This historical nod reinforces the link between Louis Vuitton’s heritage and its current influence.
A worldwide operation
The Place Vendôme carrousel is just one part of an international initiative. Similar installations are planned in Asian cities such as Macau, Shanghai and Yokohama, affirming the brand’s global footprint. In addition, to maximize digital engagement, Louis Vuitton is offering an augmented reality filter on Instagram, as well as customizable digital greeting cards.
