Patou x Onitsuka Tiger: Parisian chic and Japanese street style
To celebrate their respective anniversaries, Patou and Onitsuka Tiger have combined their worlds in an exclusive collaboration, blending French elegance and Japanese sports design.
Three new models for a unique collection
As Patou celebrates its 110th anniversary and Onitsuka Tiger its 75th, the two brands are marking the occasion with a bold capsule, unveiled on November 20. At the heart of this collaboration are three sneaker models: Mexico 66, Mexico Rinkan and Mexico 66 Ballerina, revisited with the codes of the House of Patou.
These iconic sneakers feature Onitsuka Tiger’s iconic stripes, sublimated by chic details such as touches of pink, grosgrain ribbon and an XXL label engraved with a tiger. The collection also includes sweatshirts, t-shirts and accessories, perfect to appeal to a young, connected clientele, mainly Generation Y and Z.
A strategy that attracts new audiences
The affordable prices of this exclusive capsule introduce a new audience to the world of luxury, while remaining true to the DNA of both brands. Some pieces were already sold out within hours of going online, testifying to the excitement surrounding this collection.
To promote this collaboration, an immersive pop-up store in London plunges visitors into an imaginative universe: a shared flat between two teenagers, one from Paris, the other from Tokyo. A fun, free experience to be discovered until December 22.
Patou, a renaissance under Guillaume Henry
Under the artistic direction of Guillaume Henry, Patou continues its ascent. Since its takeover by LVMH in 2018, the house has won over new audiences through strategic collaborations and a contemporary approach. This partnership with Onitsuka Tiger confirms the dynamism and modernity of this iconic brand.
