Céline Dion lights up Elie Saab anniversary fashion show

Céline Dion performed at the Riyadh Season festival for the Elie Saab fashion show. The exceptional show celebrated the fashion house’s 45th anniversary.

Under the theme “1001 Seasons of Elie Saab”, the Lebanese designer, accompanied by his son Elie Saab Jr, orchestrated a spectacular show at The Venue in Riyadh. More than 300 creations, retracing decades of creativity and innovation, were paraded before a captivated audience, with first-rate musical performances.

The highlight of this unique event was a performance by Céline Dion, who closed the show with two of her signature songs, The Power of Love and I’m Alive. Dressed in a sparkling Elie Saab gown, Céline Dion dazzled the assembly with her presence and charisma. Her performance moved the guests to emotion, marking a rare appearance on stage after a four-year hiatus due to the neurological condition Stiff Person Syndrome. Backstage, Elie Saab confided: “Friendship was the real starting point for this grandiose show”, a testament to the special relationship between the singer and the designer.

Star performances for a memorable show

In addition to Céline Dion, other international stars brought their glamorous touch to the evening. Jennifer Lopez performed Waiting for Tonight and Let’s Get Loud, in a glittering bodysuit designed by Elie Saab. Lopez, accustomed to the designer’s creations, had already caused a sensation at Paris Fashion Week in January, wearing a dress and cape embroidered with flowers. Camilla Cabello sang her hits Havana and Señorita in a pink floral look, also by Saab.

Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram and Egyptian singer Amr Diab also delighted the audience with iconic songs, adding a regional touch to this evening of fashion and music.
