The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024 ranking has revealed three Parisian addresses that shine among the world’s elite cocktail bars.

The Cambridge Public House, a sobritish pub

In 19th place, The Cambridge Public House stands out as the first French bar on the list. Located in the Marais district, this pub combines the convivial atmosphere of a British pub with the expertise of a cocktail bar. Open since 2019, it offers a regularly renewed menu, inspired by the seasons and geared towards sustainability. Among its creations, the Golden Child cocktail, a surprising blend of Philadelphia cheese, cognac and malt whisky, evokes a liquid version of carrot cake.

The elegance of Bar Nouveau

Le Bar Nouveau takes 39th place. Also located in the Marais district, this bar stands out for its Art Deco decor of wood, mirrors and floral motifs. Founded by Rémy Savage, named the world’s best mixologist in 2022, the establishment offers sophisticated, original cocktails. His version of the Ramos, combining vanilla yoghurt, peat and St-Germain liqueur, surprises with its subtlety and meticulous presentation.

Danico, a New York touch

In 49th place, Danico completes the Parisian trio. Nestled behind the Daroco Bourse restaurant in the 2nd arrondissement, this bar offers an atmosphere reminiscent of Brooklyn. Created by Nico Soto, famous for his bar Mace in New York, Danico offers a unique experience where creativity meets a relaxed atmosphere.

Tight international competition

The 2024 ranking, revealed in Madrid, places Handshake Speakeasy in Mexico City at the top, followed by Bar Leone in Hong Kong and Sips in Barcelona. Although France doesn’t feature on the podium, these three Parisian addresses illustrate the excellence and diversity of the cocktail scene in Paris.
