Jeanne Moreau as seen by Chanel? It’s happening at LaCinetek! A few weeks after its partnership with Mubi, Chanel continues its commitment to cinema by joining forces with LaCinetek, a platform dedicated to the great names of the 7th art.

Chanel continues to expand its influence in the world of arts and cinema. This week, the luxury fashion house announced a new partnership with LaCinetek, a platform specializing in the distribution of great films from the 20th and early 21st centuries. This collaboration allows Chanel to strengthen its ties with the world of cinema, while celebrating its icons and history.

Chanel and LaCinetek: a tribute to great filmmakers

With this new alliance, Chanel pays tribute to actress Jeanne Moreau, a close friend of Gabrielle Chanel. A retrospective of the actress, available on LaCinetek until the end of the year, presents a selection of key films from her career. Chanel underlined this friendly relationship, recalling that the House had designed Jeanne Moreau’s costumes for the films Ascenseur pour l’échafaud and Les Amants.

Launched in 2015, LaCinetek offers a vast catalog of over 2,000 films, directed by masters of French and international cinema such as Martin Scorsese, Marguerite Duras and Agnès Varda. By supporting this platform, Chanel confirms its commitment to the preservation and promotion of cinematographic heritage. This partnership is in line with its other cultural collaborations, such as those with Mubi and prestigious festivals like Deauville and Venice.

A fervent commitment to the 7th art

Following its recent partnership with Mubi to launch the Next Prize Collection, Chanel continues to assert its presence in the film industry. From the new generation of directors to the great classics, the House seems determined to make a lasting mark on the 7th art.
