The Paris shows are a must in October, attracting enthusiasts from all over the world.

Parisian museums present major exhibitions in October, combining contemporary art, historical retrospectives and original themes.

  • Arte Povera, at the Bourse de Commerce, from October 9, 2024 to March 24, 2025. This exhibition highlights the Italian movement of the same name, distinguished by its use of simple materials and a reflection on essential art.
  • L’intime, de la chambre aux réseaux sociaux, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, from October 16, 2024 to March 30, 2025. A fascinating exhibition exploring the evolution of intimacy over the centuries and through technology.
  • Science/Fiction – A non-history of plants at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP). From October 16, 2024 to January 19, 2025, this unique exhibition explores the links between plants, art and science.

Music and concerts in Paris in October

Autumn in Paris is also a great time for concerts, with international headliners and local artists.

  • Goldmen, the tribute to Jean-Jacques Goldman, will perform at Le Zénith in Paris on October 12, 2024. This concert is a rare opportunity to hear live the great hits of the artist who left his mark on the French music scene. I’m booking my party!
  • Brazilian metal band Sepultura will also be at Le Zénith on October 30, for a powerful, electric evening. We’re off!
  • Stuck in the Sound, one of France’s best-known rock bands, will be performing at La Cigale on October 4, 2024. They will be making their comeback with a new album and a much-anticipated tour. I’ll book right away!

Shows and theater in October

Parisian stages are not to be outdone in October, with a selection of captivating shows.

  • The immersive show La Haine, adapted from Matthieu Kassovitz‘s famous film, will be presented at La Seine Musicale from October 10 to 19, 2024. This ambitious project promises an unprecedented, immersive retelling of the cult 90s film. To reserve, click here!

Lovers of history and culture won’t want to miss the exhibitions that are approaching their closing date, such as Taïnos et Kalinagos des Antilles at the Musée du Quai Branly(until October 13) or Myriam Mihindou: Ilimb, l’essence des pleurs, on view until November 10, 2024 at the same museum.
