Paris, a city with an inexhaustible wealth of historical treasures, is the setting for a range of unique experiences that combine education and entertainment. Use your smartphone to explore different eras, fromancient Egypt to the 19th century.

Egypt comes to life at the Louvre

Since October 2023, the Musée du Louvre and Snapchat have teamed up to create “L’Égypte Augmentée”. Just a few kilometers from Paris, the Château de Chantilly offers another immersive experience: the Augmented Banquet. Since January, visitors have been able to sit at the table of the Duc d’Aumale and admire a sumptuous feast recreated in augmented reality. This journey to the heart of 19th-century kitchens allows visitors to discover the history of gastronomy through a fun, interactive approach.

Celebrating women across France

As part of International Women’s Rights Day, Snapchat has launched “8 mars 8 femmes”. This initiative pays tribute to eight important female figures, by installing their virtual statues alongside those of their male counterparts in eight French cities, including Paris. This activation is an innovative way of celebrating the role of women in history, while enjoying an enriching urban stroll.
