Which shows are you most looking forward to at Paris Fashion Week?
Fashion Week is back in Paris, and this season’s shows promise to blow our minds! Here are the 5 most eagerly-awaited shows for next year’s edition.
After a memorable men’s fashion week last June… Now it’s the turn of the women’s collections for spring-summer 2025 to grace the catwalks of the capital. And the least we can say is that this new season promises to be a colorful one. Paris Fashion Week kicks off on September 23.
The first Dries Van Noten show… without Dries
Dries Van Noten ‘s 129th show, which drew a standing ovation at the last Paris Fashion Week for men, was his last before handing over the keys to his atelier to a new artistic director. After announcing his departure from his eponymous label last March, the Belgian designer is now bidding farewell to the world of shows. For this latest edition of Paris Fashion Week, fashionistas will have the opportunity to discover Dries Van Noten‘s first collection… But not designed by Dries himself. It will be presented on September 25 at 3pm.
The Coperni fashion show at Disneyland Paris
Arnaud Vaillant and Sébastien Meyer, fashion’s star couple, have never ceased to stand out at fashion weeks. After creating a buzz on social networks with the dress painted directly on Bella Hadid to close their Paris Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2023 show, and with a show where models paraded with robot dogs… The brand has struck again. This time, it’s organizing a spectacular fashion show at Disneyland Paris on October 1! They shared with WWD their special bond with the place. “We grew up in the south of France. And when we’re kids, our first visit to Paris isn’t to see the Eiffel Tower… But to go to Disneyland,” explained Arnaud Vaillant.
Alessandro Michele’s first show for Valentino
Here’s the must-see event of the week. Alessandro Michele ‘s first fashion show for Valentino, to be held on September 29 at 3 pm. Former artistic director of Gucci and successor to Pierpaolo Piccioli, Alessandro Michele had already given a foretaste of his vision for Valentino with a presentation on Instagram last June. He made clear his desire to reinvent the house’s classic codes. This time, Paris Fashion Week will be the occasion for journalists and fashion stars to discover in person a long-awaited new collection. To be continued…
Gabriela Hearst’s comeback
Gabriela Hearst returns to Paris Fashion Week to present her Spring 2025 collection at 1:30 p.m. on September 30, having last shown in the capital in 2021. Ludovic de Saint Sernin and Y/Project, who were not present in previous seasons, will also be making their comeback. New designers such as Niccolò Pasqualetti and Alainpaul also join the official calendar.
Mugler in the spotlight
Since becoming artistic director of Mugler, Casey Cadwallader has rapidly established himself as one of Paris Fashion Week’s most innovative designers. At each of his shows, he pushes the limits of staging. His impressive shows are sure to leave a lasting impression. His Spring-Summer 2023 show, for example, featured models on a moving platform. Or his Spring-Summer 2024 show, where huge fans swept across the catwalk, creating stunning effects. What will the brand’s next show look like this time? See you on September 26 at 2:30 p.m.
