This autumn, Maison & Objet invites you to embark on a journey beyond the Earth with its bold “Terra Cosmos” theme.
From September 5 to 9, the Maison & Objet show will once again take over Paris Villepinte, with an edition that promises to make you dream. Under the direction of Mélanie Leroy, Managing Director of SAFI (Maison & Objet, Paris Design Week and MOM), the show will reflect on how the spatial imagination influences our interiors. ” Terra Cosmos” offers an immersion into a world where “Space Age” furniture from the 70s, lunar landscapes and references to mineral nature combine to create innovative interior spaces. From pieces inspired by the designs of Verner Panton to creations evoking the mineral surface of the stars… Every corner of the living room transports you into a spacial universe.
Maison & Objet: a rich program for all design lovers
Maison & Objet 2024 offers a varied program to inspire professionals and design enthusiasts alike. The “What’s New?” space curated by François Delclaux and Elizabeth Leriche offers a glimpse of emerging trends. Delclaux focuses on “raw minerality” with objects reminiscent of lunar or Martian deserts. This is also the case with Pulpo’s creations, whose massive, “primitive” material seems to have fallen from a meteorite.
For her part, Elizabeth Leriche offers a more poetic and emotional interpretation of the theme. She blends heaven and earth, transparency and opacity, the infinitely small with the immensely large. Her space invites us to reflect on our place in the universe. She shows objects that seek to connect visitors to more spiritual and introspective practices.
