The Première Sound by Arnaud Chastaingt, director of the watchmaking design studio at Chanel, revisits the iconic 1987 watch by integrating high-quality headphones, for a futuristic accessory that’s both functional and elegant! Inspired by the octagonal design of the legendary No. 5 perfume bottle and the black leather interlaced chain strap of the first watch… This new accessory embodies the house’s timeless elegance. The18-carat yellow gold-coated steel case also reinforces the luxurious appearance of the piece. The black lacquered dial captures the light with unequalled sophistication.
But the real innovation lies in the integrated audio technology. In collaboration with Master & Dynamic, specialists in high-end audio, Chanel has designed headphones that offer total sound immersion, thanks to passive sound isolation. Compatible with USB-C and Apple Lightning formats, these headphones combine performance and aesthetics. They bring music to life with crystal clarity. Première Sound is not just a watch or a necklace, but a veritable manifesto of Chanel’s modernity and savoir-faire.
Première Sound and its immediate success with celebrities
Already adopted by fashion and music icons alike, the Première Sound is establishing itself as the must-have accessory for back-to-school. Jennie, star of K-pop group Blackpink, was one of the first to sport the accessory this summer. Shortly afterwards, actress Lily-Rose Depp, featured in Chanel’s official campaign, continued to promote this hybrid jewel. Finally, American singer Lana Del Rey was seen wearing the Première Sound during her appearance at the Rock en Seine festival on August 21.
Its exclusive launch is taking place at the Bon Marché Rive Gauche, in a pop-up shop open until October 2. Alongside the Première Sound presentation, visitors can also discover a retrospective of Chanel’s earliest watches, illustrating the company’s evolution in the field of luxury watchmaking!
