Yves Saint Laurent’s Flowers at the Musée Yves Saint Laurent in Paris
From September 20, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris presents the exhibition Les Fleurs d’Yves Saint Laurent. It celebrates the couturier’s love of nature and flowers. Featuring some thirty silhouettes and numerous drawings, the exhibition highlights the symbiotic relationship between Saint Laurent’s creations and nature. Emblematic pieces include the summer bride embodied by Laetitia Casta in 1999. But also the embroidered jackets from the spring-summer 1988 collection, inspired by Van Gogh. The exhibition also pays tribute to prints inspired by the works of Pierre Bonnard.

Fashion in motion #2 at the Palais Galliera
From April 26 to January 5, 2025, the Palais Galliera presents “La Mode en mouvement #2”, an exhibition exploring the evolution of clothing from the 18th century to the present day. The exhibition focuses on the theme of the body in motion. Featuring over 250 new works, the exhibition examines the place of clothing in sporting practices and its influence on everyday fashion. A section dedicated to the balneaire also unveils rare pieces, highlighting the evolution of bathing costumes and the relationship to the body in the public sphere.

Alaïa / Kuramata at the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation
Until January 12, 2025. An unconditional admirer of Shiro Kuramata, in 2005 the couturier Azzedine Alaïa devoted an exhibition here to the Japanese designer, who died in 1991. Twenty years later and for the first time, the Fondation Azzedine Alaïa has decided to celebrate the designer once again with a dialogue between the creations of the two artists. More than 20 exceptional pieces of furniture and objects by Shiro Kuramata (1934-1991) are presented. Nearly 20 haute couture creations by Azzedine Alaïa maintain the poetry of form, the radicality of cut, the subtle choice of color.
