On August 11, the Stade de France will be transformed into a gigantic stage for the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Thomas Jolly, the artistic director who previously orchestrated the sumptuous opening ceremony, will once again be at the helm for this evening entitled“Records“. The show kicks off at 9pm.
It promises to be a visual and acrobatic fresco, with aerial performances, giant sets, sumptuous costumes and impressive lighting effects. Inspired by the idea of celebrating both the durability and fragility of the Olympic Games, Thomas Jolly has imagined a future where the Games have disappeared and been rediscovered. This theme aims to remind us of the importance and value of the Games. All the while, celebrating not only the athletes’ performances, but also French culture. Fashion designer Kevin Germanier designed the costumes for the occasion!
