Olympic Games: Nike joins forces with Centre Pompidou to celebrate sport

Until August 11, Nike and the emblematic Centre Pompidou are joining forces to celebrate sport and culture. An experience to be enjoyed this summer during the Olympic Games!

As the Paris 2024 Olympic Games approach, a sporting atmosphere is taking over the capital’s iconic monuments. The Centre Pompidou, the famous contemporary museum in the Marais district, is no exception! This summer, in collaboration with Nike, the cultural establishment is displaying a giant canvas on its facade, illustrating the athletes supported by the American sports equipment manufacturer.

The façade is temporarily transformed into a screen, celebrating art, sport and culture through videos and animations highlighting sporting values and athletes from various disciplines. This exceptional installation is reminiscent of the original Live Centre of Information project by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. This work featured screens continuously broadcasting news from all over the world. A program to be discovered all summer long and in the autumn.

Nike x le Centre Pompidou: Art of Victory

On July 24, Nike will open its Art of Victory exhibition at the Centre Pompidou. This event, open to the public in gallery 4, will evoke the development of “Nike Air” technology. It will also feature stories of sportsmen and women. The visit is free, but prior online registration is required. “For me, this collaboration sends an important message. When you have a good idea, you have to pursue it and have courage“says Tinker Hatfield, architect and designer of numerous Nike models.

Go ahead and take your chances. If you want people to notice what you do, you have to try to do something sensational. This is what happened when we created the building and the Air Max 1. Technology is important. But it was the courage and the fact of having done something new that caught everyone’s attention.
