3 brunches for kids
Paris is full of wonderful places for a family brunch. If you’re looking for places that combine good food and children’s activities, here are 3 must-visit addresses for a friendly and fun brunch with your little ones.
Le Comptoir Général
Mini pirates beware! This place, almost as vast as the ocean, is sure to sweep you off your feet. Step inside and you’ll feel like you’re on a mysterious island. Follow the path to the right past the exotic butterflies, continue straight ahead to the bow of the boat and say goodbye to Paris: you’re in the heart of the Caribbean.
On the plate, an exotic marine feast awaits: fish & chips, chocolate mousse or exotic fruit salad to delight every palate! While the old seawolves remake the world, the young sailors will have plenty to keep them busy: two talented entertainers have transformed the upstairs into a playground worthy of the finest treasure maps. Let yourself be carried away by the adventure and enjoy an unforgettable brunch with your family!
Le Comptoir Général – 84 Quai des Jemmapes, 75010 Paris Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Price €39/adult and €16/child.
Le Sacré Frenchy
On the surface, discover a “neo-brasserie with rotisserie and piano-bar” offering a generous menu and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s a rare thing that little ones are just as welcome here as grown-ups, creating a friendly atmosphere for the whole family.
In the basement, a room dedicated entirely to children offers entertainment, games, balloons and coloring. It’s all orchestrated by a super babysitter who we dream of taking home with us after the visit.
For brunch, get ready to enjoy with your biggest appetite. The smiling team serves up plates as generous as they are delicious. You won’t want to leave a crumb, even if the doggy bag is offered without having to ask for it. What a Frenchy!
Sacré Frenchy – 58 Boulevard Sébastopol, 75003 Paris Every Sunday from 11 am to 4:30 pm. From €34/adult and €18/child.
The new Chalet du Lac
In the heart of the Bois de Vincennes, this enchanting spot is surrounded by the lake, its boats and swans, offering a truly green escape from the hustle and bustle of Paris for brunch.
To avoid traffic jams, carefully manoeuvre around the slides dotted around the woods and slalom skilfully between the three rides towards the Chalet. Once you’ve arrived, discover a gargantuan buffet , a bucolic garden party atmosphere and an area dedicated to children aged 3 to 12, animated by an animator. For the little ones, there’s a mini bouncy castle and a ball pool.
And that’s not all! Enjoy the music, dance floor, ping-pong table and pancake corner. The romantic glass roof and terrace overlooking the park invite you to extend this exceptional moment. Don’t forget the ponies – you’ve been warned!
Chalet du Lac – Avenue Anna Politovskaya, on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes 75012 Paris Every Sunday from €49/adult and €29/child (including an animator).
