On the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games taking place from Friday, July 26 to Sunday, August 11, 2024, the Sofitel Paris le Faubourg invites you to discover the Sport Chic exhibition.
Presented by the Sofitel Paris le Faubourg, Sport Chic is a unique must-see exhibition in July, transporting you into a world where sport inspires the top designers of the Fédération Française de Création Couture sur Mesure. The federation’s designers have created a collection in which virtuosity and humor blend harmoniously. Through comical detour, they reinterpret the Olympic universe without ever sacrificing the precision of their know-how or their signature refinement.
Sport Chic: bold, elegant creations
Each piece in the collection is a bold exploration of sports vocabulary. Designers are turning functionalism into a real style. Sports equipment becomes a fashion accessory… While sportswear reinvents itself in dressy dresses. Imagine, for example, a lace sleeve transformed into a balloon net. Impressive, isn’t it? You’ll also find a stylized windbreaker for evening wear, or fencing pants with dreamy touches.
And there’s no shortage of incongruous details! Indeed, soccer balls nestle beneath a skirt, badminton shuttlecocks decorate the deep neckline of a dress, and a braided ponytail escapes from the jacket of a horsewoman worn inside out. The mannequins in the show also sport whimsical medals created by the jewelers of the Chambre Syndicale La Boci.
Among the designers exhibiting their work are such prestigious names as Najib Alioua, Jenny Sacerdote, Ali Thompson and Sophie Castagnetti. Each brings his or her own unique vision and exceptional talent to this collection, making Sport Chic a celebration of creativity, French elegance and the Olympic Games.
