Tribute to Nino Vella

Today we pay tribute to Nino Vella, renowned French composer, pianist, singer and producer, who died at the age of 31. Born on November 18, 1992 in Cholet, France, Nino Vella has left an indelible mark on the music world with his poignant compositions and exceptional performances.

A successful career

From an early age, Nino Vella showed a keen interest in music, improvising on the family piano before joining the conservatory at the age of 6. Barely out of high school, he launched into professional music, composing for the theater and forming the group Babel, with whom he toured France, Canada and China from 2010 to 2018.

In 2016, Nino made a name for himself by producing an album for rapper Boostee, which enjoyed national success with a platinum debut single. This opened the doors to Universal Publishing and took him to Paris, where he collaborated with many famous artists such as Maes, Yseult, Yannick Noah, Olivia Ruiz, Mylène Farmer and Eddy de Pretto .

During the 2020 confinement, Nino Vella composes and orchestrates the soundtrack for Douglas Attal’s film “Comment je suis devenu super-héros”, a project for Netflix starring Pio Marmai, Leila Bekhti and Benoit Poelvoorde. This cinematic work testifies to his ability to marry music and emotion to create immersive, memorable experiences.

A versatile and inspiring artist

Nino Vella was not only a talented composer, but also a versatile artist. In 2021, he accompanied the singer Yseult on tour, playing piano and singing, while occasionally collaborating with other artists such as Vianney and Julien Clerc. He also created his own label and founded the group Rouquine, winning the TV show “The Artist” presented by Nagui.

Her album “Masculine” and subsequent tours of France, Switzerland, China and Belgium demonstrate her ability to captivate diverse audiences and touch hearts with her profound melodies and lyrics.
