“Matisse, L’atelier Rouge” at the Fondation Louis Vuitton
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Matisse and admire works that have marked the history of modern art. The Fondation Louis Vuitton hosts the exhibition “Matisse, L’Atelier Rouge” in collaboration with MoMA, New York, and SMK Copenhagen. This exhibition explores the genesis and history of Matisse’s iconic work, painted in 1911. L’Atelier Rouge represents the artist’s studio, including paintings, sculptures and decorative objects .
For the first time, the works in the painting are brought together, enriched by previously unpublished archival documents.
