The Montaigne Terrace at the Plaza Athénée gets a summer makeover
With its shellfish, oysters, champagne and shellfish, the Terrasse Montaigne at the Plaza Athénée is decked out for the summer months, and looks forward to seeing you on May 15!
Nestled in the heart of Avenue Montaigne, it shines like a beacon on the elegance of the capital. With its dazzling red awnings, the Terrasse Montaigne at the Plaza Athénée is an invitation to unforgettable summer moments, with the majestic Eiffel Tower in the line of sight.
This elegant terrace, reminiscent of a ship’s deck in its wood structure, resonates harmoniously with the flamboyant geraniums that overlook it a few floors up. Behind the carefully trimmed boxwood and wrought-iron gate, the season’s hot spot is revealed. An iconic summer haunt on Avenue Montaigne.
A new iodized concept by Chef Jean Imbert for the occasion
This year, the Terrasse Montaigne unveils a new proposal by Jean Imbert. Platters of oysters and seafood are perfectly paired with chilled flutes of champagne… Focused on the delights of the sea, the menu celebrates every detail of seafood. The chef orchestrates a marine symphony, reinventing the oyster bar experience.
Lobster claws cut up and garnished with caviar, tarama from Cap Ferret, crab cake revisited with coral sauce… If the recipes highlight local producers and respect the rhythm of the seasons, they are also pleasantly revisited. The knives are served with Ponzu sauce. Jalapeño pepper clams. And the langoustines with a blend of aromatic herbs.
An exclusive selection of Veuve Clicquot champagnes perfectly complements the marine flavors on the menu. Particularly the cuvée La Grande Dame, the embodiment of the House’s oenological signature and its exceptional expertise. Last but not least, traditional tableware completes the culinary feast, with pieces designed especially for the occasion!
