Champagne house Veuve Clicquot has concocted an escapade aboard the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, linking Vienna to Reims this summer. An ideal journey for champagne and adventure enthusiasts!

For 250 years, Veuve Clicquot has been symbolized by the yellow “sun”. The color of the historic label of its champagnes. Champagne and adventure lovers are invited to follow the path of the sun from East to West aboard the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, a Belmond train.

An exclusive itinerary between Vienne and Reims, the cradle of the House, offered for this occasion alone. The Maison invites world-renowned chefs to take part in this unique experience. Indeed, all along the journey, the very best in gastronomy is on offer.

As soon as the train departs, an exclusive dinner will feature the cuisine of Michelin-starred chef Jean Imbert, signature chef of the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and Veuve Clicquot ambassador, paired with the House’s rarest vintages. Until arrival in Reims, a 4-hand lunch will be orchestrated with Michelin-starred Chef Mory Sacko to round off the experience.

Immerse yourself in an unforgettable 3-day experience in Europe with Veuve Clicquot! First, be welcomed at Vienna’s prestigious Hôtel Impérial. A tribute to Veuve Clicquot’s history as a supplier to the Viennese court. Continue with a gourmet dinner by chef Andreas Döllerer, in the historic setting of the Liechtenstein Garden Palace. All accompanied by an exclusive tasting of vintage champagnes.

The second day begins with an exploration of Vienna’s historic center, followed by a trip on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express. Discover the luxurious charms of this legendary train. Later, enjoy an exquisite dinner prepared by Chef Jean Imbert. Followed by a masterclass and exclusive tastings on the art of ageing, with La Cave Privée Rosé 1995 and 1998.

Finally, the third day begins with an early breakfast to watch the sunrise. Followed by a refined brunch on board. Arriving in Reims, explore the Veuve Clicquot vineyard at Manoir de Verzy. Here, you’ll take part in workshops, tastings and exclusive tours.

Taste the Grande Dame 2015 and aromatic red wines, followed by lunch in the UNESCO World Heritage chalk pits. Finally, end this adventure in style with a 4-hand menu prepared by Michelin-starred chefs Jean Imbert and Mory Sacko before returning to Paris aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.

The trip starts at €8,000 per person, based on two guests sharing a period twin cabin. It includes welcome, dinner and overnight stay at the Imperial Hotel in Vienna, brunch, transfer to the Venice Simplon-Orient- Express. But also an overnight stay aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, all meals and Veuve Clicquot champagne tastings, and all experiences on and off the train.
