Courrèges x Mytheresa: spring’s coolest collaboration
Courrèges and online retailer Mytheresa join forces to create an exclusive capsule collection!
A few months ago, Courrèges the famous Parisian luxury brand, has been in the spotlight ever since! In January, she collaborated with record store Dizonord to create a unique pop-up, fusing the worlds of fashion and music.
More recently, another big announcement caught the eye of the fashion sphere. Jean-Paul Gaultier has chosen the next designer for his Haute Couture collection. And it was Nicolas Di Felice, Courrèges’ current Artistic Director since 2020, who was chosen!
Finally, in April, at the “Courrèges heritage and future: how to reinterpret the codes of the past?” exhibition during Shanghai Fashion Week, the Courrèges x Mytheresa capsule collection capsule collection was unveiled. It was accompanied by emblematic archive pieces from the French fashion house, as well as selected looks from the Autumn-Winter 2024-2025 runway show.
Courrèges x Mytheresa: 17 pieces that take up the House’s codes
“This exclusive collection embodies the classic Courrèges wardrobe, with pieces that express the result of a constant dialogue between the heritage of the house and the Courrèges woman of today,” reveals Nicolas Di Felice in a statement about the capsule collection.
Courrèges and Mytheresa unveil a collection of 17 pieces, each featuring all the distinctive elements of the Parisian house. The common thread? Put together a wardrobe for every occasion.
The pieces come in a palette of neutral colors, mainly black and white, enhanced by an exclusive shade called Mist. An innovative shade that oscillates between white, gray and lilac depending on the light.
The brand’s emblematic vinyl blends with more discreet materials on the brand’s 60s-inspired flagship jackets, as well as on mini-skirts, short dresses, T-shirts with contrasting trims, a fitted jumpsuit, tops and pants with ribbed details… All adorned with the AC logo, which represents André and Coqueline Courrèges, the founders of the House. Finally, Mytheresa is renowned for its highly selective fashion collaborations. These include Magda Butrym and Christian Louboutin.
