In close collaboration with Art Paris, Richard Solti and Galerie Ritsch-Fisch present a retrospective exhibition at the Appart. It celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of the death of the exceptional artist Carlo Zinelli. Also known as “Carlo”.
This exhibition highlights more than 20 of Carlo’s works, created between 1960 and 1973. It also includes paintings, double-sided works and bronze sculptures. These pieces offer a deep immersion into the creative universe of this major figure of art brut. And the production continues to captivate and inspire the world!
Carlo Zinelli: a leading figure in art brut
Carlo ‘s creations are distinguished by their unique figurative style. They combine human and animal silhouettes adorned with holes or stars. Onomatopoeia and the repetition of shapes and characters. Although his paintings appear simple at first glance, they exude a subtle complexity that invites deeper exploration.
