Pierre Niney becomes Lacoste’s new global ambassador

French actor, director, producer and screenwriter Pierre Niney has joined the Lacoste Family and become the brand’s new global ambassador.

At the age of 34, Pierre Niney has nothing left to prove on the silver screen. We saw him share the limelight with Jean Dujardin in the film OSS 117. But his talent also shone in Boîte Noire and, more recently, in Mascarade.

‘The choice of Pierre Niney as ambassador is an obvious one for Lacoste. He shares Lacoste’s spirit and values, including elegance and daring. Like the crocodile, he also maintains a strong bond with his public,’ Lacoste revealed in a press release.

By becoming global ambassador for Lacoste from 1 March 2024, Pierre Niney joins a prestigious family that already includes American tennis player Venus Williams, as well as players Arthur Fils and Novak Djokovic.

Even today, the crocodile evokes intimate memories that are dear to the actor. Ever since he was a child, he has had close ties with tennis, associated with moments of complicity with his father, a great lover of the sport.

‘The brand has managed to strike the perfect balance between timelessness and modernity, and has succeeded in being trans-generational. My father and I have always worn this crocodile, a symbol of elegance. The brand has also placed its trust in me, from my first films to my very first directing project, the Casting(s) series. I’m delighted to be the face of this iconic French brand today”, he confides.

He will be the face of the brand’s next campaign, due for release in April!
