Run to the Louvre: sports tours of the museum with Mehdi Kerkouche

From 24 April to 31 May 2024, the Musée du Louvre invites you to experience ‘Run at the Louvre’. This initiative by choreographer and dancer Mehdi Kerkouche combines the intensity of Olympic training with the cultural richness of the Louvre.

What if exploring a museum turned into an Olympic discipline? Mehdi Kerkouche, a multi-disciplinary artist, brings his talent as a choreographer and director to many television programmes in Europe.

With recognised expertise, he guides artists from diverse backgrounds and also orchestrates the staging of renowned cultural events. Today, on the occasion of the exhibition ‘Olympism. A modern invention, an ancient heritage’ at the Louvre, the choreographer is offering visitors an unforgettable experience!

Run at the Louvre: a guided tour meets sport

At sunrise, before the doors of the world’s largest museum open to the public, take part in a physical preparation session that combines a guided tour, dance and sports training.

This unique event will be orchestrated by exceptional coaches! The itinerary will take you through a dynamic mix of disco, yoga, dancehall and cardio, and will guide you to masterpieces from the sculpture collection.

The sessions include a variety of exercises as well as cardiovascular efforts, aimed at those feeling fit. What’s more, this event is part of an exciting collaboration with other renowned dancers such as Salim Bagayoko, Céline Baron, Queensy Blazin’, Léo Bordessoule, Laure Dary and Jérémie Sibethal.

At the end of this experience, a well-deserved break awaits you, and it’s important to keep your ticket! Your ticket gives you the chance to visit the exhibition and the various rooms of the museum free of charge on the same day.
