Hôtel Hana, the perfect harmony between Parisian charm and Japanese serenity

Right in the heart of the vibrant capital, between the Opéra Garnier and Place de la Bourse, emerges Hana, a 5-star jewel in the crown of the prestigious Adresses Hôtels collection. Designed by Nicolas Saltiel, a fervent advocate of discreet luxury, Hana sets itself apart by offering a contrarian experience. It combines the sophistication of the Belle Époque with Japanese minimalism, in homage to the revolutionary movement of the 1920s.

A harmonious fusion of Japanese culture and Parisian art de vivre

Located in the district known as ‘Little Tokyo’, Hana offers an oasis of tranquillity in the heart of the city’s hustle and bustle. Every detail is meticulously thought through, transforming gestures and objects into symbolic rituals. The Japanese art of living is revealed through a ballet of traditions. Fusing the poetry of the iris with the contemplation of Parisian rooftops from the 26 keys with a view.

This unique encounter between Laura Gonzalez, a talented architect, and Olivier Leone, a renowned artistic director, has given life to a place that embodies ‘a feminine, graceful, voluble and precious side’. The aesthetic is a blend of Belle Époque maximalism and Japanese minimalism, with communal spaces reduced to the bare essentials. The hotel offers an intimate experience, with a personalised welcome instead of a traditional reception.

The 26 rooms, imbued with a feng shui aura, offer breathtaking views over Paris. The materials used pay homage to Japan and the Belle Époque. Such as iroko wood, straw and two-tone marble. In this setting, the superfluous is eliminated, creating an authentic and balanced atmosphere. Traditional yet resolutely modern, Hana invites you to stand still, daydream and fully appreciate your taste for beautiful things. Where time slows down to allow visitors to live and love to the full.

Hanabi offers an artistic culinary experience, fusing French tradition with Japanese delicacy. Under the direction of Shirley Garrier of The Social Food, the play of fireworks in each dish evokes a harmonious encounter between two powerful gastronomic cultures. The classics of French cuisine are revisited with finesse. Creating compositions that are veritable concentrates of modern art and classic cuisine, where each country shares a strong gastronomic link.

Fine palates can enjoy a variety of meals, from a Hanabi-style breakfast to an enchanting dinner. The menu reveals an exceptional mastery of pairing, highlighting the finesse of the produce. Dishes such as Ochazuke, pot-roast chicken cooked in mushi nabe. Or the chirashi of fish and shellfish from the French coast offer a refined tasting experience.

At the bar, a bold selection of French and Japanese bottles creates an atmosphere conducive to discovery. French sakes and wines gently set the scene for each tasting, followed by a bold reinterpretation of classic cocktails. A Dry Martini revisited with Japanese gin and Sansho pepper-infused vermouth. Or a Lemon Drop combining French vodka, sake and yuzu, testifying to the creativity of the team behind the bar.
