Founder Daisuke Nonogawa and his son Junichi, the company’s current CEO, set themselves the goal of developing a global culture of beauty to make life more beautiful for all women, and it has to be said… Mission accomplished !
Despite its French consonance, Menard is indeed a Japanese brand. It takes its name from creatures of Greek mythology: the maenads, goddesses of beauty who favored abundant harvests and brought beauty to men. It’s a double tribute to both beauty and European mythology.
A veritable reference in Asia in terms of cosmetic and cultural excellence, the range includes day and night creams, masks, eye contours, serums, lotions, emulsions and make-up removers… A truly complete range for creating the perfect Japanese beauty routine. And although we’d love to buy the whole collection, our absolute favorite is the day creams, which make us forget all the ones we’ve already had, instantly!
Our favorite, Embellir Day Cream, a global anti-aging cream, comes in a gorgeous purple glass jar, like a precious amethyst. This fine, soft, velvety cream provides the daily protection you need (SPF 15) and a luminous, radiant complexion. The result is plumped, supple, radiant skin.
The alternative? Saranari Day Cream, just as effective. Comforting and protective, it deeply moisturizes all day long… But in addition to their top-of-the-range ranges, the main reason Parisian women love this brand so much is for the incredible treatments provided at the brand’s Parisian Institute.
As soon as you arrive, you’re struck by the chic of the place. In this former jewelry store, you can admire the brand’s products in the large original display cases, like precious objects.
Beautiful orchids and other bouquets are scattered here and there, adding a romantic touch to this elegant setting.
For our part, we tested the Authent treatment in their Paris boutique, and the experience was a pleasant one… After a welcome drink of green tea, we were ushered into a pretty, spacious treatment room.
